It's a fine demonstration of the flexibility of Xara Xtreme that it can produce water color style
drawings like this (and the talent of the artist of course!).

The most extraordinary thing about this drawing is that it's composed purely of ellipses, 458 of them to be
precise. Believe it or not there are no lines, no bezier paths or shapes of any kind other than lots and lots of
ellipses (with different fill and transparency styles).
Valery has caused a bit of a stir in the community of Xara artists with this new technique and it really proves the
power of the Xara graduated transparency feature.
And he's very kindly posted the .xar file on talkgraphics so you can examine the technique for yourself:

This is created by a new Xara artist who has just started using Xara Xtreme on Linux, and is one of his first
experiments in creating a chrome effect.
It's great that Xara Xtreme for Linux has advanced enough to allow users to create drawings like this.

And in contrast to the purely artistic examples above this is an example of Xara Xtreme being used by a professional illustrator,
Minimiro, who has been a long time Xara user.
This is a design for washing powder package. This TalkGraphics thread shows some of his other commercial designs as well.
