Inspirational Art

This month's inspirational art is not a specific example, but rather a category of art - namely cartoons.

There are quite a few very talented cartoon artists that use Xara Xtreme, and here are just some examples, along with links to the posting on the TalkGraphics forum or the Xara Xone where these originate from.

An Easter Cartoon from Bob Hahn - http://talkgraphics.com/showthread.php?t=26793

Bob is not only a talented artist but has provided tutorials on how he creates some of the effects he uses in his work.

For this example he provides the original .xar file - http://www.talkgraphics.com/showthread.php?t=25410

And here he provides some step-by-step descriptions of how the art was created - http://www.talkgraphics.com/showthread.php?t=25255

Bob has also created some YouTube tutorial videos explaining a bit about named colors. In the process you can see exactly how he goes about creating hair, and by using named colors how you can re-color the hair with a single click. - http://www.talkgraphics.com/showthread.php?t=25584

Another example from Bob - http://www.xaraxone.com/FeaturedArt/dec06/html/04.htm

Zeb is another cartoonist who creates some great works - http://www.xaraxone.com/FeaturedArt/dec06/html/26.htm

Another cartoonist, Jay MC, hasn't posted much work but this is a great example - http://talkgraphics.com/showthread.php?t=26407

Jay has also posted a thread about how he creates his drawings - http://talkgraphics.com/showthread.php?t=20866

And here's another new artist, Byanfu - http://talkgraphics.com/showthread.php?t=26601

FlySolo says this is his evil daughter! - http://talkgraphics.com/showthread.php?t=23526

And finally here's a completely different style of cartoon from Risto Klint (well OK, maybe it's not really a cartoon, but we want to include it anyway) - http://www.xaraxone.com/FeaturedArt/dec06/html/21.htm
